Operation AAA took place at 2000 GMT on the 31st of January. The objective was simple: Take as many artifacts as possible, turning all the artifacts pastel green, and put us on the map.
We failed. But boy did we have fun.
We took the following artifacts:
Abyssal Aegis (Sulfur)
Tenebrous Cloak (Sulfur)
Restorative Grasp (Roah)
Abyssal Fury (Roah)
Tenebrous Cloak (Roah)
Abyssal Aura (Divine)
Abyssal Fury (Divine)
Fiery Staccato (Divine)
While taking the artifacts around Roah, members of the alliance were quick to spot that our artifacts were being retaken. After a few artifacts were taken around Roah Fortress to lull the Asmodians into a false rhythm, we quickly turned back and surprised them as they tried to take Restorative Grasp, forcing them to withdraw into their fortress. Our point made, we decided to move to the Core.
On the way, there was dissent among the ranks, as the Asmodian known as Aeristh was spotted on the radar. Redh spoke up, reminding us that we were an almost-full Alliance going after one Asmodian. We pondered for a brief moment, before somebody declared "Payback", to which we all agreed, and continued to ruin his day.
At the Core, we decided to make one pass over all the artifacts before calling a close to the event. Being dogged by Asmodians who had a Kisk set up (which the enemy all-too-readily deserted, and at the order to destroy it, Xera happily obliged), we managed to take five, three of which are still in ownership at the time of writing. With The Committee backing us up, we repayed the favour by dealing with the Asmodians that were dogging their attacks on artifacts, while still sneaking one out from under their noses.
All in all, we had a result, we had PvP, and we ruined a single Asmodian's attempts at questing near Roah. Mission accomplished. Debriefing over.
