ABOUT CYRUS
==========

Cyrus was founded in March 2009, and RIFT will be our third MMO venture.

We started life in Warhammer Online (originally called Exodus) and became the largest and most active PvP guild on the Karak-Norn server. We played a central role in attempting to co-ordinate the Order faction, hosting cross-alliance community initiatives to try and bring the many guilds and alliances on the server together in an attempt to take the fight to the numerically superior Destruction side.

We later moved to Aion where we became a top 10 Elyos guild on the Perento server. Intending to pursue our enjoyment of PvP, we were one of the primary guilds in the early days of the game, however the severe PvE grind and lack of meaningful PvP content meant that our player base changed somewhat and we became more of a PvE guild with occasional raids in the Abyss.

In RIFT we are looking to combine our two playstyles, with hopefully strong content for both PvE and player driven world PvP. We have a strong core membership of active and committed players, and we are a very welcoming community. We want to play the game to its full potential, and that means having equally dedicated players in our guild who are committed to turning out for guild events. However we do not have a 'hardcore' or 'elitist' vibe in the guild. Chat is always sociable and friendly, and when things go wrong we rely on our maturity and patience to resolve them.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Cyrus is looking for mature, active and friendly players to join our ranks. In RIFT, we will be looking to create another successful guild with solid progression and a shared objective. We want dedicated and reliable players who are in it for the end-game, but who are equally concerned with the friendships they make along the way.

Members should be interested in both PvP and PvE aspects of the game, although PvP will likely become the main focus of the guild when our members reach level cap.

Members are required to use Ventrilo and have a working microphone. We welcome members from all over the world, however we do ask that in guild chat and ventrilo, English is used at all times.

Hi all,
I read some of your threads, and was delighted to note that this guild keeps in contact with members, even after many years.
I have not been lucky to play the Rift beta, from what I have read, there are a few developers who started thier careers with DAOC, which means pvp will be much better than most other mmo's.
The blogs and general forum comments all seem very positive towards rift, hence I have decided to rejoin the mmo experience after 2 years as a hermit.

hopefully Cyrus will endorse my application and i can join the action with you all in March.
I plan on a rogue and a tank as alt.
Please advise of any specific skills required , as I am only willing to train to oblidge.

Ill Make a char and pop over for a chat.

Just had a lot of family stuff going on so i tried WOW for a while but had nothing to keep me there.

So i was doing betas on rift and joined it with a few friends social but they all gave up so i re rolled some Defiant chars to test them out to lvl 29 pvp.

Cleric i like as a tank/tankhealer
Love the cloromancer
But the Bard rocks in PVP healing and i get to switch souls to either ranger for solo grind or BD/RS/ASS.

Right let me log on and see what i can make
