Today we will reach guild rank 22, allowing us to upgrade our keep doors even more. This will be very useful in patch 1.3, when we can deadbolt the inner postern door, forcing Destro to knock the doors down instead of exploi... bypass them! Looking forward, there are some nice things coming our way:
Guild rank 23: Another guild vault (much needed!)
Guild rank 24: Standard "rally" ability (banner res)
Guild rank 25: Guild mount!
Although we are still making steady progress, the rate at which we are levelling the guild is slowing a little. This could be the summer weather, the server stability or just 'endgame burnout', but we need to make sure as a guild we are keeping focus of our goals.
In reaching Guild Rank 22, we set ourselves the target of fielding a full guild warband of rank 40s. Although we didn't quite make this, we had 17 members signed up for a rank 40 event, which we converted to a tier 1 event due to Tier 4 server crashing / lag. Although not quite a full warband, it's still a great turnout. The best thing was the way in which so many members took up the challenge to reach rank 40 in time (just to have to roll a rank 1 alt - mwaahahaha!).
Our goal for this rank is going to be in running scenario premades. This is something that is not effected by The Zerg in tier 4, and will greatly improve our skills in combat when fighting together. We are going to try different premade setups, including survival groups, melee trains and range bomber groups.
The most important element in this will be in sticking together - something that pug groups always fail at in scenarios. We will work on acting as a single unit - focus firing selected targets, protecting our healers, and being mission focused in completing the scenario objectives.
As well as focusing on scenarios, we will also hold more events to get members to rank 40. We can now make use of the Exodus Reservers banner which gives a 9% XP bonus - very useful when we are PQ grinding!
So lots to do and achieve. If we attack these targets with the same enthusiasm we did with the last targets, we will become a far stronger guild for it.
All the best, and most of all, have fun! :D
